Red Dye (?) on Leather Seats?
Here look at this pic below, My 4th gen seats have this red stuff on them, its just the passenger one. I have no clue what it is, its been on since I got it, I know one leather panel on one of the seats isnt original (maybe the one with red) Some days it looks worse then others but the wierd thing is, it doesnt come off. Like if its hot or something it wont bleed into your clothes, Anyone know what it is, or how I could get it off...or even cover it up?

It kind of looks like that was indeed the panel that was replaced. I wonder if the panel was originally red and dyed/painted to match the gray color, and now the red is beginning to show through.
Just my guess.

I wouldn't care about that, you have the coolest thirdgen I HAVE EVER SEEN. HANDS DOWN. I would drive that car if the seat was stained pink. Good JOB! Here's my piece:

Weird that it would look worse at some times and not others. Is that dependant upon lighting conditions, or humidity, or temperature, or ???
If I were you, I'd look for a replacement seat, or have that section replaced. Don't have a clue how you could duplicate it to make the other seat match

I noticed that when you posted the PS2 pix. Strange huh? Kinda looks like the coverup someone else suggested coming thru. Still a bada*s car. One of the best on the board.
