91-92 White Face Gauges
Ok, Ive got the white face gauges from loomdog but they are many times to big. I tried changing the pixels per inch in photoshop to 300 but it didnt help. What is the height and width that I should print them to make them fit my gauges?

What do you plan on printing them on? I used photo paper in my 92 RS, but since the gauges are backlit, you can see through the gauges and it looks horrible. But they look sweet in the day. I can't wait to get my white faced gauges in my 89, they should look nice.

I'm printing them on hp premium high gloss paper. When loomdog sent me the files he included the inverse of the gauges, black part where you dont want the light to show through as it is back lit. I think it should work good. I'm gonna fill in the spot over the service engine soon light so that I dont have to worry about that anymore (took out all the smog and egr stuff.) So far I've got the faces printed and they look great.

when i made the overlays, i was origionally gonna use the black faces.. but for that to work, all the numbres and tick marks and anything that shined up at night would have to match the origional.. i wanted my faces to be different so i made a inverted back for them.. w/ the 90-92 gauges faces being thin plastic glued onto the gauges it was possible to do that..

take off the black gauge faces.. i found its easier to use a small flat head screwdriver to kinda pry off them off. align the blacked out face under the white face (both were dloaded) and put that on the gague. ull need a really heavy paper for the bottom (blacked out) face. the origional faces were glues onto a piece of plastic.. if u need any more help just email me or post it here..
p.s. - check the layout of the faces u dlaoded BEFORE taking apart ur origional gauges. to make sure everything lines up correctly. (expecially check the high beam indiciator placement on the back of the 4 center gauges & check engine and infl rest on back of the tach)

I dont really understand what you are saying in that last part but maybe it will make more sence when i crack into it.
What are you supposed to print these on again????
Can you use white paper underneath and put clear transparencies on top of that??

ok... ill try to make it very simple this time..
1. print out white faces (6 files, 200dpi 6"x5.25") on HEAVY glossy white paper
2. compare printed white faces to origional black faces
3. align the back and front of the printed white faces and glue them together
4. take off origional black faces (i used a wide flat screwdriver to pry them off)
5. align and glue printed white faces to gauges.\

my mom is big into crafts, so i had a nice selection to choose from.. i used 3M Super 77 Multi-purpose Spray Adhesive. a really light coat. the gauges have been sitting for a couple of days and they havent started to peal yet. the paper camaroman305 used would probably work out better than using glossy paper for both. the back face MUST be printed on HEAVY paper or it will start to look like crap in the future (warp and bend and just look $hitty if u dont)..

someone asked this before but i don't think it was answered...by putting the new faces on how can you see the gauges when it is dark and you have your instrument lights on.
