Belt to Cable
My windows in my formula move up and down real slow. I work ina body shop and i was talking to a co-worker (at the time) and he said he had the samething in his 87 vette. He was telling me that the window motor is connnected to the window by a belt and it wears outs. I know that the newer cars use a steal cable. Almost always pulling at least five doors apart a day, never opened up my door yet. Anyway, he told me(from what i remember) to get any GM cable setup from a junk yard and it will hook right up. I think that there was a few more things that i needed and i can't remember. I don't talk to this guy anymore, he got fired. I was woindering if any of u guys have done this or something similar to fix this problem.

our cars are an older design, there is a pinion gear on a motor that spins, and then there is another gear that is only partial with an arm on it. As the motor spins the pinion the larger gear with the arm attached moves to raise or lower the windows.
make sence?
I really do not feel like making a sketch...

Bad alignment? Shorting motor? or tired motor/ oxidized connection? I just had problems with my 00 T/A and I tracked it down to a shorting motor. They worked but slowly. The pass. side effected both. Poke around you'll find it. Oh and like said before no belt to wear out sorry.
