Crossfire Hood

I finally decided to give up on looking for a fiberglass Crossfire hood. I just don't want to mess with having to ship one or worry about it delaminating at 100 mph or something like that. I keep seeing the metal versions I could get one for like $30 bucks at a junkyard. My question is could I adapt the CFI flapper assembly to work on a metal hood? Yes my car is soon to be Crossfire injected. I know I would have to cut out the holes for the flappers but is the bracing underneath the same? Going to yard tomorrow so if anybody knows thank you in advance.

I'm not sure if you could get the flappers working, but I'm going to drill a couple holes in that part there tommarow for my CAI inventon that I'll share with you guys if it works. So I'm not sure about the flappers, sorry...

I know I probably have to cut the holes for the little flappers but as long as it bolts to the underside of the hood I don't see why it wouldn't work. Yeah if your idea works let me know.
