Swapping -92 gauges cluster into an -82 car

I would really appreciate if someone could tell me the differences in the wiring between -92 and -82 cluster, it would save me the wire measuring. My car already has an electronical speedo installed (some aftermarket junk that stands out from the rest of the interior) but the rest of the cluster is an original Z28. The car does have ACC from the start but it doesnīt work at the moment, I guess itīs because of the change of speedo. Iīve already searched your boards for the answer but I donīt seem to find anybody howīs told the distinct difference in the wiring. Bye the way! Iīve got the impression from other 3rd gen releated sights that the -92 cluster should fit in a -82 dashboard with some small modifications?

im in the process of doing this swap rite now.. 99hawk120 has done this swap also. i can email u the wiring if thats all u need. the clusters are very different in size. u need to trim some off the dash and the cluster to get it to fit.

that should help with alot of ur questions.

do a search in the electronics forum.. 99hawk120 just posted the wiring diagram there.. thats also where that link goes.. i think 91 clunter in 84 is the subject of the thread that explains how to mount the 91 cluster.
