Converting to electronic speedometer

I want to replace the cluster in my 83 trans Am with a 140 mph cluster out of a 91 GTA. I know I will have to convert to the electronic speedo, but what all is involved? I would need a VSS from a car with the same gears as mine, but thats all I know. Is there just some wiring from the VSS to the speedo head or does it go through my ECM? Will i need a new computer? Please fill me in with everything you know abouit this. Besides the speedometer, will the tach and all the other gauges plug right in? BTW, this an analog cluster, not digital. TIA.
