Can the DOOR HINGES be repaired???
Got a problem....my door sags about 1/4 inch to 1/2 inch every time I open it. My door hinges are getting a bit worn out. Is there any possible way to remedy this problem. I've picked up two new doors from a junk yard that, while on the car, still had strong hinges.
Is there a way to replace them or do you just have to scrap the whole door?
Thanks for your assistance!

This is a well known weakness in 3rd gens. A search for the word "sag" will give quite a few hits on this site.
Earlier today, I posted that I got mine fixed at a body shop. Best I can tell, the most common reason for the sagging is wear on the hinge pins and bushings. The hinges themselves wear also, but it seems like this is less common. Your doors are not the problem (unless there is something going on that I can't know about).
A member of this site sells repair kits at http://www.3rdgensolutions.com/ I opted for a body shop because didn't want to modify the car as described on the site.

Thanks Keith0
It looks like a high quality product and he sounds experienced in the procedure. I may go with this product. The GM proceedure looks hard.
Thanks again for helping out a fellow thirdgener.
