Done, man oh man, well I'm eaither gonna stripe this one for part and sell it off, sell it as a whole, or i dunno.

I'm gonna have to use the spare car for awhile and probably keep my eye out for an IROC or 300ZX

Zepher -

I am a strong believer of keeping your project on the road (as much as possible)!!! If you are like me the longer it sits the colder it gets... but I will have to say that I have scrapped some rolling projects!

69' Chevelle 2dr Malibu - Owned for 1yr - decided that I should cut my losses and send it packin' - found a 69' ElCamino
69' El-Camino - Finished, given to my brother (355 cid, Muncie 4sp, 12 bolt)
80' Trans Am - 301 auto perfect body - sent it packin after it sat for a year (running car, no time, just got married, thought my life was over)
80' Jeep CJ5 (still dont know why I bought it) - owned it for a summer, had fun on the NC beaches - cold weather, didn't move from nov' - march' - good bye

Now I got the 89 convert. may fav car yet - needs alot of work, but it's what I like to do.

Drive a 95' Monte Carlo Z-34 Brickyard (#299 of 400)

Like the seats, looking forward to seeing the end product.

KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK MAN

Thanks,
I got the motor started using starter fluid tonight.
Seems that the injectors aren't spraying any gas.
Need to find out why.

I needed to get the old ground FX holes filled so I needed to take the door panels off.
The wires are all over the place due to the Carb to TPI conversion. There is a lot of wiring invloved.
I had my antenna hole shaved and the gfx holes filled, here are a few pics,

I still need to finish up the other 6 holes from the old rocker panels.

There's always been a hole in the fenders.
That is where the Air Extractors go.

About the antenna, I am going to go with one that goes on the inside window.

I should be able to get my hatch on Saturday, guy has 3 of for sale for $50 each and they are in really good condition.

If I can figure out why the injectors don't fire, which is really the only problem I am having, then she'll be able to be driven on the street.
Oh, I also need a y-pipe made up, can't go driving around with open headers, it's kinda loud.

you think?

One of my friends wrote that there, it wasn't me.

I am not too concerned with the radio since I mostly listen to my CD changer. All I need is good reception of one station, 94.9.

I wouldn't worry about radio. I shaved my antenna... haven't had any problems. Radio has to many bad songs for every good song. Easier for me to burn the cd and just listen to it when I want. Despite it being gone, no one has noticed it not being there. But when it was there, everyone said I should cut it or buy a new one.

Hey Zeph...does the car run ok after it is started with the starter fluid?? Mine got like that. Check the fuel pressure. My bet is that it's too low...mine was around 35-38 psi. 1 new fuel pump later...it's running fine. It could be other things though...but this is what happened to me.

Good luck.

MAN OH MAN those gfx look great on a TA!

Pump is a brand new Holley in-line pump.
I know for a fact that the injectors aren't getting the pulse that they are supposed to get.
My ECM checked out great as well as my custom chip.

I think it is the Distributor.
Gonna check that tomorrow.

I gave $225 to a friend for the wheels.
$75 for the AutoShifter Console to the Junkyard.
$45 to a guy on LS1.com for the 6 speed Shift Plate
$650 for the Mint condition 96 Camaro SS Leather Seats, but the ones in my car aren't the ones I paid $650 for. My brother and I swapped Leather seats from his 96 Trans Am.

I try to get my parts locally if I can.
If you want to order parts, call up SpeedAutomotive, they deal in 4th gen cars. www.speedautomotive.com

Those side skirts are off of a 91-92 Camaro.
The rocker panel mounts the same, the door pieces mount a little lower so I had to drill 3 new holes on each side and fill in the old 3 holes.

I also have to fill the 3 holes on each side from the 86 Rocker panel as well.

How'd you guys fill the antenna hole? Did you weld it or bondo or what? Also, what all is to shaving the antenna, I think it looks so much better and very clean. Thanks.

We just put a piece of tape under the hole and uses Bondo with Fiberglass stuff in it, comes in a blue can.

the joys of kitty hair used that stuff to fill in the tiny holes from taking off the door trim on mine. Also used it quite a bit on the last little project, a dune buggy tons of small holes from different things over the years.

When did does seats come on the market? I have those same seats in my Z28 and I got the impression from the guy I bought it from that they wear taken from a late 80´s car, as the rest of my interior.

Mot sure when they came out in the 4th gens, but the seats in my friends 91 GTA look almost like the 96 Trans Am seats I have.

My SOB is running, I upped to 92 octane, some of the connections around the terminal looked like there were all purposely unplugged. I wonder if those guys who towed me home did this purposely knowing I needed to get from Richmond to Virginia Beach, here they are saying my engine is shot, and after inspecting it on the home front and tighting the flexplate bolts to the crank all of the noise and engine symptoms are gone. Also replaced the fuel filter which was pretty clogged. Running damn hard and strong. However I am still going to sell her now, and look for something else. But she won't be parted out since I can get money outta her now.

If you are talking about the holes that are in the fender on the Trans Am's, just cut a hole. I can get you 2 new air extractors for $40.

If only it were that easy for a "proper" fit....

Don't feel bad Zepher... my interior is in as bad of shape (if not worse) than yours...
