83 z28 Ground Effects on 87
It may or may not be stupid to ask, but a local junk yard has a z28 with solid effects all the way around. If I can get the whole set, will they bolt on easily to my 1987?
Assuming that everything is still on the car, what all do I need to pull of when I go back?
What aftermarket parts will I need?
How much should I pay for everything at the junk yard?
I don't want to miss out on the Gfx, so anybody with a quick reply is appreciated!

i would try to hold out and find some later ones 85-92. the 82-84 ones are ok, but the later ones look alot nicer i think. anyway you would also need the nose and rear bumper, you may need to weld some brakets or drill to get the sides attached.

Hey, '82-'84 Z28 gfx are just fine (not like I have any reason to be biast ).....
In anycase, I've never heard of anyone doing the swap, but from what I know all the effects will work. You will need the WHOLE set (including front nose and rear bumper). The nose is required because of the grill set up changes made on the '85-'92 Camaros. Plus there are contour differences in the rest of the FX.
But, if you can get a good price on them and like the look, go for the swap. I'm 99.9% sure if you have the front and rear bumpers with the rest of the gfx everything should bolt in with no prob.
Keep in mind, I've never known anyone to actually do it (but it looks like the locations for all the bolts and items should match up).
