Repaired Headliner Pics

What do you guys think? I re-did the headliner and sail panels.....I think they came out kick ***! Gonne mount em back in tomorrow hopefully.

Here's some before and after pics...the before ones sort of suck...but you can see the damage.

Cool. Looks great. How much stiffer is it now (it looks like you fiberglassed it before covering it)?

It's actually quite a bit stiffer. I tried to go pretty light on the fiberglass for fear that it may affect the fit of the headliner if I laid it on too thick. Overall I'd say I got @ 50% stiffer than when I took it out. No bending in the middle now....but the ends still bend if forced ;-)

I started out just using glue and fiberglass cloth (like an article I read suggested), and then someone here said resin would be fine so I changed paths mid-stream ;-)

So far I'm loving the result!

Looks good Moto..

I used one of those kits from NextGen, which turned out OK, but could have been better. ALthough they said the board was split in two and the fabric was one piece, both the fabric and board came in two pieces so now i have a little gap where the two pieces meet, right under my center dome light.

But yours looks great!
