T Top Locks Replacement

I have aftermarket t tops on my car and am missing one of the t top locks, are all t top locks the same for the aftermarket and original tops or do I need a specific lock? I assume the tops are C&C but don't know if there were others they might be? Thanks

Re: T Top Locks Replacement

Does the VIN on the SPID match the VIN on the car?

Re: T Top Locks Replacement

I've never heard of anyone converting cars using original equipment T-top hardware, aside from the occasional case of someone cutting the roof off a donor car. The LOF Gray Flo Lite tops are definitely OE.

I haven't looked into the Ttop locks recently. I know I browsed over them in the Strattec catalog from the 90's. They're a different lock cylinder than the door locks, but use the same key.

Should be able to get a lock cylinder from any thirdgen T-top, and have the lock recoded to match your door key. Just make sure that your existing door key slides in the lock. At some point, GM changed the locks to use different key blanks. The wrong key blank won't even slide in the lock cylinder if it's not right.
