Have you ever seen a 4th gen? It's all different. Nothing is even remotely similar. The dash is totally different. There's no way the gauges will just swap. You've either got to do a MAJOR hack or install the entire dash board, which in itself will be a major hack.
Now go look at your car. See what I mean? Totally, 100% different.

I was at the strip in October and there was a 3rd gen Camaro with 4th gen gauges, so YES, IT IS POSSIBLE. I didn't look too close, but it was probably a pain in the *** because of how different they are. It actually looked pretty good too. I have NO idea how he did it. Sorry I can't help, but I'm just trying to clear up that it IS possible.

I can see wanting to upgrade your interior with newer, and better, thirdgen interior parts, but i don't a 4th gen interior looks good in a 3rd gen, with the exception of the leather seats. Think about it. A mean looking IROC-Z doesn't go well with curvy ergonomically contoured 4th gen interior components like the dash, console, etc (those interiors look like rent-a-car interiors). It certainly isn't worth the PITA it would be to do a good job...
