Removing studs from spoiler
I have the 91/92 Z/28 high rise spoiler that I have been "adapting" to work for a 91 convertible Z/28.

As you can see from the picture my latest issue is that the ends of the spoiler are a little short or the middle posts are too long. I think the best way to fix this is to remove the original mounting studs, shave down the middle posts and put in new studs but I don't know how to remove the original studs without butchering the bottom of the posts. Can anybody help explain?
My other solution (which I still may pursue if I can't easily remove the studs) is to lengthen and refiberglass the ends of the spoiler. That would easily add several more hours of work to this project.

It looks like Bluzee adapted his hi rise spoiler to the existing convertible spoiler side pieces which seems to be making up the gap difference that you are experiencing.

He did, but he also stated in a post the he removed the studs from the center posts and used longer studs-- which is what I'm trying to find out.

You might be able to put 2 nuts on the stud and lock them together. Then use the "bottom" one(closest to spoiler) to turn the stud out.

O not a bad idea. I had tried vise grips thinking "How good of a hold can fiberglass have?" Turns out the answer is pretty good. Vise grips were just stripping the nut and when I tried to rock it a little I could hear/see the fiberglass an inch away start to crack. I'll give the two nuts a try and if it fails I guess I can just add some fiberglass to the spoiler's ends.
