New spoiler. Bolts holes different?
WELL.... I just changed my 89' factory spoiler for and older one (Forget what year it came off of. Want to say mid 80's car). I wanted to omit the third brake light.
The non-brake light spoiler is the same height, just shorter front to back>>>> does not go towards the rear glass as much. This left about 1" of dirty/rubbed paint now exposed....but ok with that. Car needs painted any way. The shortness gives the illusion of more rake/taller, even though it is not.
Come to find out not all of the the "new" spoiler bolts line up with the 89' deck. 4 out of 6 do. The two in the middle do not. As well, the side pieces' top bolts do not line up with the holes in the top of the quarter panel. The 2 in the side of the quarter panel are fine......
Best part of the whole thing is my 12 yr old daughter was doing most of the wrench turning being we had to remove the tail lights as well. She is the one that got me fired up to work on it again.....car's been sittin for 2 years....
