Formula Hood Insulator - OE GM Still Available?

Formula Hood Insulator - OE GM Still Available?
Been a while since the last post - actually working on the heap instead of shooting off my ... keyboard.
Found the 83-4 HO mesh insert for my Formy hood. Like it 1000% better than the blank plate. But - my hood insulation is crumbling and the retainers aren't keeping it in place any more.
Ordered a repro from Classic Industries, but it looks like a pretty thin cheap substitute (!) for the GM piece.
Question: Can you get the proper insulation for the early T/A or Formula any more? My car is stone stock original and want to keep it that way.
TIA!!!

Long Answer: If you're lucky and find a NOS one, but last one on here sold a few months back.
The repro piece I got looks fine to me, and does the job well. It didn't look any thinner than any of the GM pieces I've seen.

I have a NOS one (for82-89?) still in the box for a upcoming project. I have noticed there was a design change between 89 and 92. Haven't really tracked down when the switch was made tho.
