1991 Z28 wheel center caps?
I have a set of 16" wheels from a 1991 Z28. They are currently being painted/clear coated. To color match the car. But I want to replace the original center caps. The originals have a sort of "fake nut" on them. I want to find a set of center caps that are flat. Before I started on this wheel change project, I saw a Camaro that had these same wheels. But with this "flat" center cap I am looking for. It had the outline of a Chevrolet bowtie emblem in it that was RED. The same exact ones are used on the S-10 pickup trucks, exept that they are a different size and won't fit. Too big.
I don't know the '88-'92 Camaros very well. But what car would have had these wheels/center caps from the factory? And where would I get them from?
I sure hope you guys can help me.
Thanx,ANDYZ28

Yes, From my local dealer my bud got them for $25 each Also I am sure he had to order the ones for the 1997 S-10 SS because the others have gold chevy emblems and the SS has red ones

No problem.
While on the subject of Z28 wheels on S10's, the ZQ8 wasn't the first time GM did this, the N90 15x7 82-87 Z28 wheels were used on some 91-93 S10's and blazers again with a specific centercap being the only change. I looked into the S10 caps for the N90 wheels when I was using my set on my S10, and the caps were about $30 each, but they also use different lugnut caps and the threaded lugnuts so all together it would have cost $150 to put nifty caps on a set of wheels I paid $200 for, that came with 7 new centercaps.

ZQ8 Wheel Offset
Drew
When I was looking for some 91-92 rims for my 89 I noticed that the ZQ8 wheels were pretty close match. After talking to a fellow at aaarims he informed me that they are different offset, but did not elaborate on how much different.

I ordered the center cap that you guys are talking about. On Friday 3/1/02 I recieved the center cap part# 15988450. It is exactly what I was looking for. Withone exception. I can't get it to fit into the wheel. It seems that the little plactic finger things are too large in diameter to fit into the wheel.
Any ideas?

while i've never personally fit one, since i like my caps!
i know that doesn't help you.....i would also check the late 90 monte carlos wheels they where also flat. anytime i've seen someone try the s10 thing they used the entire wheel since the caps are different. but, i don't know for sure just giving you other ideas.
realistically your only bet would be to find someone who has done what you want or to find what you want on the road and try to trial fit it..........with permision from the owner of course.![Wink](https://www.thirdgen.org/forums/images/smilies/wink.gif)
good luck.
