Emblems
I am in the process of restoring a 1991 Z28 convertible. The car is bright red and the emblems on the rear bumper are red yet the ones on the rocker panels are silver. My question is this correct for a 1991 or should they be red like the rear bumper? Hawks offers both but I want to keep my vehicle as close to original as possible so any help would be appreciated. Anyone with an original bright red Z28 90 thru 92 what does yours have? Thank you for the help.

Re: Emblems
I Have seen cars in person with red emblems, and have also seen some with the sliver. Id just go with the Sliver. Most of the red cars I have seen have had the sliver/red combo.

Re: Emblems
I've got a 92 8774 (bright red) Z28 Z03 Heritage. The original side panels were red. They faded badly over time to almost silver. If you find originals on an 8774 and the side emblems are "silver" look closely, you should see traces of red left behind.
I'm close to the end of restoring the body. I've had the car since 94.
FYI, I've found that the OER emblems are a very close match to the OEM. There are other suppliers that are a little off; the 7 on the rear 5.7 tuned port injection wasn't correct and the overall lettering was longer; the rear Z28, the Z was not correct. Very minor, but I'm s little OC.

Re: Emblems
I have a white 91 Z28 convertible and it had a silver background on all of the emblems.
