Hawks actually told me they would build me one in a few months.
Trafficlightguy a metal hood would be ideal.

When we did my 91 camaro a few months ago at Hawks they had access to the Sunoco hood. The Sunoco was one of the options we discussed I decided to go with the SS hood.

Well hawks has not got back with me. Im growing impatient. Really wish someone made these and had one sitting on a shelf. They just look so much better than any other hood IMO

Well my friend I just got lucky and scored one off a guy I talked him into selling to me now I just have to have it shipped across the country lol... But if anyone is willing my car is at the body shop and maybe I can convince them to make me a mold and tell Hawks to go screw themselves with there overpriced crap ... Let me know 😃

You lucky SOB. Congratulations on the find. Well if you think they can make a good copy of it without waves and fitment issues ID be down.

I called Hawks in regards to the hood. They said their mold went bad and they were having fitment issues. The sunoco/jongbloed will return when they get a new mold.

My car is waiting to be painted lol. All I need is the hood. I've bought all new interior and will replace all the seals. Guess I'll patiently wait.

Although not as wide, Cervinis is an option.. http://www.cervinis.com/82-92camaro-cowl-hood.html

the sunoco follows the lines and that is what i like about it. If im spending my hard earned money it will be on the sunoco hood or no hood at all.

Agreed! My second choice would be the SS hood, but I hate that the still don't make a functional one. Also kinda like the Hawks custom 2"cowl with ZL1 heat extractor vents. But yes, the sunoco/jongbloed hood is perfect!!!

Bump - Looks like they're back again. Fiberglass 3'' and 5'' by G&T, sold by Andy's Auto Sport. The last things said about G&T on this board were all bad, but that was quite a few years ago. Interested to see the results if anyone tries it...
