Ground Effects on basemodel

I have an 87 Camaro that I bought that has never had ground effects on it. I really like the look of them and was looking to get some for my car, but I wanted to make sure they will still work on mine being that It never had any. Will it just require some drilling?

Oh ok. So the brackets will have to go behind the door panel. Ive seen that there are brackets for the rear quarter panel ones as well?? So just drill those in so they can hold them in place I'm guessing.

The rocker panels have brackets welded to them on gfx cars. Will need to drill out the spot welds and take them off a doner car, and weld them onto you car, or find another way to mount them. The rest is just drilling holes and bolting up.

Oh all right doesn't sound too bad haha. So the doors will be the only real work, everything else shouldn't be too bad. Thanks!!

Re: Ground Effects on basemodel

We pop riveted the rocker panel brackets on my son's Camaro when we put them on. Have had no problems with them. Be sure and use steel rivets.

That sounds like it would be easier. Just to make sure, the rocker panels are the ones that are on the door itself, not the ones below it correct? Thanks for the replies also

Re: Ground Effects on basemodel

Rocker panels are not on doors, they are the part under the door.
To clarify again, all gfx parts can be added by simply drilling holes in the correct place EXCEPT the long side pieces UNDER the door. These have a shelf like bracket to support them that must be attached before gfx. There is a smaller shelf welded along the rocker panel, then another larget shelf bolted to that and the rocker panel itself. You can either get these parts off a donor car or you could just fab up something yourself, they are pretty simple.
