Fenders
Anyone have trouble fitting classic industries fenders on a 3rd gen.(reproduction) All the bolt holes line up great but the top of fender where door, fender, windshield pillar meet, the fender sticks up. The door is on perfect. If i adjust it up it will mess with the seals and latching mech. So its like the top ear of the fender needs to go down like almost half inch....but it wont go down any more. its bottomed out on the inner front support clip frame deal. The ground effects wont line up right neither..... Really disappointed cause I had them painted and they don't fit. (lesson learned- always dry fit) They sure make it sound like they should bolt right on... this is why I do not like aftermarket stuff. but 100 vs 400 per fender.... Very frustrating when a guy is trying to restore a Z on a budget. Oh also the plastic inner fender holes dont line up. not even close. Any tips or suggestions will be greatly appreciated and I thank you in advance!!

Re: Fenders
no idea. I had a repo fender a few years back put on and it fit pretty good.
I just ordered new reproduction TA front fenders as Im adding GFX and hope I don't run into your issues.
Can you post pics?

Re: Fenders
I will look to see if I can find any. I am a full time student now and have the car in storage till I get back on my feet financially. I think when the time comes I'm going to order GM or if I can find a really nice set at a yard. I'm doing pretty much a frame off so I want nice stuff. Just pissed I didnt do a test fit before I had the body shop paint it. Red paint is not cheap... Thanks for your reply.

Re: Fenders
I just mocked up my new cheapo 99$ TA fenders and have to say they aren't that bad. I'm not a fanatic About door gaps and such but it's pretty good. I just wish it came without the darn antenna hole. Had to slightly enlarge both top holes (1 top hole per fender) for the front bumper cover bolts to fit but not bad. Def thinner metal than the GM stuff.

Re: Fenders
Can't you adjust it down a bit by using your body weight?
My mechanic did that once, as I jacked up the car at the wrong place and bent the fender mount up.
No bolt holes had moved, but still the upper edge of the fender was higher than before after bending the mount back, so he forced it down with his own weight and strength.
