Re: POST YOUR BLUE CAMAROS AND FIREBIRDS
Before my dad got the GTA in 1988, he had a blue base Firebird. The only picture we have left of it is him replacing one of the rear speakers....wish I knew where it was. It was actually a manual and he had all sorts of bad luck with it. He got rid of it when the motor died.

Re: POST YOUR BLUE CAMAROS AND FIREBIRDS
I bought it to fix up and sell... It was an ok car when I got it... missing the spoiler, the wheels were trashed, there was this airbrush on the hood that said "Dreamer" that was covering a patch of stone chips. It had the wrong headlight on one side, the hatch pulldown was broken, so the hatch did not close. It had the wrong hatch on it, The tail lights were broken, I found all of the right parts, did a lot of work to it, and made a couple of bucks... Those were the days before being married with children...

Re: POST YOUR BLUE CAMAROS AND FIREBIRDS
I just got this 89 IROC two weeks ago and am fixing it up. So far I retinted the windows, put new IROC Z emblems and 5.7 tpi on it, new 5.7 tpi on the back bumper, blackout taillight cover, leds and white overlays on the dash, new aftermarket steering wheel, new shift plate, ****, new radiator, brakes, suspension, shocks, tires. Headliner coming tomorrow, I have the graphics, front bra, front blackouts, i put on new grill, turn signals, headlights. Damn this stuff is adding up. Cruise control does not work and i have already replaced the turn signal lever. oh and new cigarette lighter (do not smoke but wanted one with the graphic not rubbed off).

Thanks. is a work in progress, had to get a new wiper switch installed today $542.00 as I do not have any tools and am partially handicapped (lung transplant) so I pay people to do stuff for me.

Re: POST YOUR BLUE CAMAROS AND FIREBIRDS
You can buy a whole car as a roller for that kind of money and change the column out with a few cheap hand tools. Rainx is only about $3 lol. Car looks great though. Is the hatch motor broken or just out of alignment?

yeah, got a motor being put in today actually. Do not know what they are going to stick with for that. I had already bought the motor just to have them put it in.

Re: POST YOUR BLUE CAMAROS AND FIREBIRDS
Just the rear pull down motor. These damn shop are crooks I tell ya. He actually wanted more and told him to forget the whole thing and he lowered it to is going to be 580 something and I bet ya they tack something on when i go to pick it up. Will keep you posted. So they are taking the steering console apart to put a new switch in there (125.00 on ebay) and putting the rear decklip pulldown motor in (i supplied part). 118.00 hr labor man...

One of the louvers flew off the other day it was glued on so I ordered up the blisters to put on. Hope it fits well.

Re: POST YOUR BLUE CAMAROS AND FIREBIRDS
Well' I can change that pulldown motor and have it adjusted in 25 minutes with a beer break. I wouldn't offer much more than 50 in labor, and that's pushing it as far as I'm concerned. Four trim screws on the rear panel, two Philips by the latch, three 13mm bolts and one 7mm screw holding the ground on. Hell, if you were close I'd do it for a beer. Trip to Florida not looking bad right now. What part you in?
