T top wearher strip channel
well, like most of us . its time to replace the T top center bar and the weather stripping. my question is, is there a removable channel that the weather strip goes in? if so is it welded on ? screws? I cant seem to find this info and I need it BEFORE I start. I would like to avoid the cheep weather stripping and go for quality and exactness. so I need recomendations from members that have done this already. another question, were there really stainless T top bars?? if so ,the hunt is on for one of those as well. thanks

If you just have rust on the ttop center bar, remove the bar and replace it with a new stainless one or a rust free used one. The t top channels are part of this center bar and will have nice new channels on a new piece. On the windshield channel and rear channel, they are spot welded on the car and repairing those can get expensive fast.
You will most likely find more rust when you take the weatherstripping out, so be prepared for it. I'm in the middle of repairing all of this right now, see my thread https://www.thirdgen.org/forums/body...eed-input.html
I got a replacement center bar, new weather stripping, and am having the body channels repaired by a local shop.
