Fiberglass bolt hole repair
I have a fiberglass harwood cowl hood and I noticed that it wasn't sitting correctly when I started prepping for paint, turns out the bolt hole on both sides toward the windshield is stripped out.
Does anyone have any suggestions for a lasting and strong repair? I usually just fill and retap but I don't want it to crack and I didn't know if anyone had some better ideas.

Re: Fiberglass bolt hole repair
Is there a threaded insert or are the threads just tapped into the hood?
I have had some success with just applying resin to the threads(of bolt) and installing the bolt. The problem is once the bolt is removed the repair is destroyed, so it is far from permanent. A better solution is to fill the hole with a resin fiberglass mix and
drill and retap.
