Ground effects on a base body?

I recently snatched up a GTA bumper off of an 88 for $50 to put on to my 87. However, my car is a base 305 with no ground effects option, so the bumper looks like it is "hanging down." What would be a good way to install the rest of the ground effects without having to get new fenders, etc? Are any aftermarket brackets made for them? I've also seen 4th gen owners use 3M double sided tape and self tapping screws to put them in; how would that be done if it is possible?

Thanks!

Re: Ground effects on a base body?

You don't need new fenders, they are all the same. The ground effects attach to the outside of the fenders and doors/rocker panels. You will need to get inside the doors for the piece that goes along the bottom of the door. Be sure you get all the attachment pieces with the ground effects as they vary from year to year. I put Z28 GFX on my son's LT, went pretty smooth. Hardest part was getting the mounting bar for the rocker panel GFX off the donor car.
