Doesn't look good at all. What did you hit or who hit you?

Totaled as in insurance company or totaled as in no body shop can make it right?
Anything is fixable with the right amount and application of cash.
That does look nasty, though.

OUCH!
if you plan on fixing it, it might be worth having the frame checked for straightness?
i wrecked one many years ago that needed straightened first. i ended up selling it cause it never felt like it drove right to me. mighta been all in my head though?
best of luck on whatever route you go.

Man I hate that! You had a very nice build and im sure you will either fix this or have another great build going soon.

It's fixable but the thing you have to ask yourself is after all that work would it be more economical to just buy a shell that's super clean and switch the parts over? Only you can make that decision

I would buy it back from insurance and strip off what you want and part the rest there a lot of clean shells out there still like others have mentioned the hit itself looks fixable but will the car be right in the long run?

I've been in a couple accidents before air bags, after reading many stories of air bag injuries and deaths, the first thing I did after buying my GMC is disarm that bomb in front of my face. Glad my bird doesn't have one......
Good luck with repairing or building another car !

glad to hear that your ok. that's whats important.
i also hate air-bags and believe they cause more injury some times. that's from 2 accidents setting them off. once was a low speed accident that blew the windshield out.

I do research into airbags every so often just to get an objective picture of them... it's hard to deny that they save lives quite often. The gen 1 air bags are the worst, but the statistics still say they're a lot safer than steering wheel to the face. I've been smashed in the face with an airbag before, and it wasn't pleasant, but I walked away and I dont have any scars or facial injuries from it.
Also as far as looking for a pristine roller... rmeember, you dont see pristine rollers going down the highway. They're usually broken in some guy's shop somewhere. They're out there, and they're cheap.

Re: I think it's totaled :-/
Insurance company will total that- we just bought one at auction with much less damage than that.
Bummer, though. Sucks when you put in so much work already.

This is one of the reasons I always say 305 cars never go anywhere. Even the ones that people put a lot of work into always have something mysterious or tragic happen to them before they ever get to a point where they've been on a track. Yours isnt the first 305 car to have something weird happen to it... Almost makes me superstitious about 305's...
Anyway, sorry for your loss but at least you're okay.
