quarter panel repair
Finally getting around to fixing my quarter panel. It has sat with the replacement patch riveted in place for the past 5 years or so.
These first pics show what it started out with, then the panel riveted in place.

Re: quarter panel repair
Got the panel welded in place. Ground it down smooth (don't have pics of that, but just take my word for it) and then used a little filler to make the lines again.

Re: quarter panel repair
Had to move the top two bolt holes on for the bumper cover out just a little bit, wasn't able to pull the corner of the panel all the way out like it needed to be (hence the filler under the spoiler piece).
Next on the list is to bar it one more time (have a few small high spots), poke my hole out for the spoiler piece, and hit it with some primer.

Re: quarter panel repair
Final sanding complete! (doesn't look much different...since it's still bare metal and some filler) Shooting primer on it tonight. It's amazing how much difference it makes to the look of the car.
