What's this called?
Been reading on this site for quite a while now and finally got a project Camaro to work on. Its a 1992 Camaro RS, so nothing special right now, but the perfect base car to build off of.
Tore all the interior out and need to replace the driver's floor pan and what I thought was called the "LH Interior Rocker Panel"... apparently that's not correct since I can't find that anywhere I search.
I've attached a picture with arrows crappily drawn to where I am talking about. If someone could give me the name of that piece and possibly a link to the replacement piece for it?

Thanks guys!

Try looking for just the LH floor panel, pretty sure it overlaps the area you're talking about.

When I search for that, all I get is the Sill plate that goes on top of the rocker panel and is plastic from the factory.
From what I can see, the floor pan doesn't span up into this area. The floor pan attaches to the piece I am looking for.

I don't think I have ever seen a replacement for that section. I think you'd have to cut it out from another car, or piece one together.

There's a lot goood advice on the body here just read. If you don't have the skills to do this but the willingness to learn then go for it. Of course there's the money too like tools and supplies.
I looked at your project and I would make patch pieces from steel like a black smith. If you are not a black smith... learn. I would grind or sand bast all the rust away .
You can weld or bond your patches. Of course this depends on the load area of patch placement. Weld if it looks structural. Read up on bonding steel to steel. There are may products that can do this well in non load bearing places
Beware this is a lot of work. Like removing all the sticky sealers just to make a clean weld or a strong bond.
Gage your level of abilities vers the worth of your efforts
Hope you find your answers

that is the inner rocker panel. they are not available from GM anymore and based on an extensive search earlier last fall no one is making a replacement yet. Sherman makes the outer rockers but not inners.
So depending on your situation you can either patch your existing / make a new one / get one from a donor
as i needed a complete replacement on my '88 camaro i got a donor floor and when i took it apart i left the donor floor attached to the two inner rockers and replaced it that way. i have a lot of pics in my project thread if you are interested in seeing what i did
good luck and all this can be repaired, yours is not very bad in relative terms

Re: What's this called?
Sorry haven't looked at this thread this week...
No it will not be staying purple. Currently in a complete tear down (dash, interior, exterior, wiring harness) and going to go with a Midnight Metallic Blue. The stripes I am thinking some type of vinyl carbon fiber design, but not 100% on that yet.
This will be a long rebuild, but definitely done right.
