3m 8505 seam sealer not drying
I welded in a new battery box in my Camaro and im newbie to being this involved in body repair anyways I started an auto body and collision repair class and the teacher told me to use 3m 8505 seam sealer , well I applied it today around 6 hours ago and it still isn't hard. it says it takes 30 minutes to dry. it has skinned and not tacky .my question is this, how long will it take to completely dry?

I used some on mine to touch up some crumbling factory seam sealer. It doesn't dry super hard. Skims up in about an hour, fully cures in about 24 hours. If its outside and not in a heated garage it wont fully cure for weeks.

the instructions are not very good! I had heat on it for a few hours today and thought that would be enough. I wish the instructions would on the tube were better.

it worked great but takes a long time to set up in cold weather. it skinned over the first day and took a long time to cure but it can be painted over. great product!
