Some people have used 4th gen manual trans center consoles in firebirds. & 90-92 firebirds came with cupholdes on the door. There virtually useless but they can be used..

I have considered the 4th gen center console option personally...

I thought, ohh how cool is this gonna be, after looking really close at these lil ****s, I've realized they're useless unless I'm drinking from a soda pop can, cuase thats about all they will hold. That and a map in the pocket piece. Who wants to buy it from me?

I might make one outta fiber glass and custom mold it into my center console

I have installed the door mounted map pocket/cup holders from a Firebird. This won't work if you have manual crank-up windows though. The mounting holes for it(actually square holes) are already in the inner door panel. Do a search in the archives on cup holders. Already duscussed to death numerous times. Lon

Ya just try to build the one with the above link. I'm thinking about making it for my firebird and re locating the ciggerette lighter somewhere else for my radar detector.

The 90 up firebirds factory cupholders work great. You just have to be carefull getting in and out so they don't get scuffed. They show up used sometimes but from the dealer they're only ~$31 each and the trim caps are another $1.50 each (2 needed). They hold everythign from pop cans, to 20oz pop bottles, to 44 and 64oz bladder busters from your favorite convienance store. The map pockets on them are good for holding CD's, maps *imagine that*, ice scrapers, etc. I have a set of gray ones that I'm looking to sell, I'd let em go for $50 or so. Click the link in my signature if anyones interested.
