underneath

my car had some rust underneath the driver side of the car so i sanded it down alot and put tons of grey rust primer alover it will that help at all or will it rust back through quick?I just want it to hold until i get it undercoated again.Waht do you guys think?

I don't know much about body work but primer absorbs water that's why you put it on before you paint, to absorb the paint. I recommend puttin' POR15 on there, not only does it prevent rust it convers existing rust into a non-chipable metal.

i too sanded off most of my rust and put similar por type stuff on there....it has seem to work really well till i can get under there and clean it up nicely with paint.

primer is never good to leave alone like that. if you have to prime it, paint over the primer.

i bought some black gloss rust paint and put alot of that on the cars undetneath looks like a mirror shouldnd't that be good for along time?
