Bracing a T-top car before mointing in rotisserie
OK I have a1982 Z28 T-top car and have decided to build either a full rotisserie or a tilt-jig to do the bottom of my car, just had rotator cuff surgery and have limited use of my right arm for at least a year so working under the car on stands is definitely out of the question, anyway my concern is twisting the body of a t-top car, I have seen quite a few 3rd gen's in rotisseries and none of them have been braced however they have all been hardtops furthermore I have also seen warnings to make sure a t-top is braced, so to err on the side of caution I have decided to add some braces to maintain the body alignment. Now to my question, I am looking for advice on the proper way to brace the chassis to prevent twisting while in the tilt jig or rotisserie, hoping someone out there has done this with a t-top and is willing to share their successes or failures(I learn from mistakes as well as successes), any suggestions or pictures would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

I always weld a bar from the front door jamb near the windshild to the rear of the door jamb at the top

I don't have any photos but if you need more bracing you can weld a brace on the bottom of the roof at the outer side of the t top were the door glass meets the t top

Here's a video of a Trans Am getting a floorpan, check out the brace in the doorway, that was what I had imagined on the doorway of my z28 for starters.
