Starting 84 Z28 build this week, need suggestions

New member, just had this build started. Looking for ideas, suggestions.

Goal is very nice daily driver, with decent power 0-60.
Want improved handling over stock, so need suspension upgrade ideas.
Not looking to race. Just have a fun car sharp looking car.

I am not a mechanic so all work being done by professional.
But he will makes any changes I want done. Body work and paint
I know will be first rate. Car will be all black.

Concerns are more with performance and handling.

What kind of performance would one get with 250 hp in this car?
Please excuse lack of knowledge, as first time doing this. I am not
a mechanic nor do I pretend to know much about being one.

Build, 1984 Z28 T-tops

Overall paint, refinish Tuxedo Black
Refinish and paint ralley wheels.
Refinish engine compartment, black
Recondition interior, replace rug, gray
Recondition left and right window regular track
Check exhaust system, replace and parts if needed such as muffler, tail pipe, etc
Replace front rotors, bearing, and brake pads
Replace rear brake drums and brakes
Undercoat complete undercarriage, black
Replace wind shield
Front end alignment
Check and clear radiator, replace if needed
A/C condensor cleaned and checked, replace if needed
Complete new rebuilt 350 ci engine, 87
New Edelbrock aluminum intake
New carb and distributor
New belts and hoses
Paint pulleys and engine brackets
Change auto 700 tran filter, gasket, oil
Change rear end gasket, lube.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions or ideas that will help in starting the build.

Re: Starting 84 Z28 build this week, need suggestions

looks like a good plan I would change the rear out and go with a 342 gear that will help you 0-60 time and I would go with a 1986 or up engine 350 2 peice rear main seal and you could pick up a set of sway bars from a WS6 or 1LE they are the 36MM front and 24 rear and use a good set of shocks/struts the best ones for the street to me is the KYB AGX or the Koni yellow good luck
