What's The Fastest, Easiest, Cheapest Way To Fix Sagging Door Problem... PLEASE HELP!

We just got the door from the firebird on my camaro. All needed now is the holes filled from the ground effects and new ones drilled for mine. Then bolt them on. My dad is REALLY mad though. We just spent the past 2 days taking doors off and finally getting this one on without taking the fender off. Now we have the dreaded "Sagging Door Problem" I knew the bird had it but he is still mad. I just want to know what is the quickest way to fix this and will it hold up? Is there a way to tell whether it's the upper or lower hinge because I'll do that if it helps me get the solution. Thanks!

I "fixed" my sagging door on a 1966 dodge charger i had by sticking washers between the lower door hinge and the door. They act as spacers and raise the bottom of the door. It's definitely the cheapest and easiest way to fix it. not exactly the right way to fix it, but it did work. Haven't tried it on a camaro door.

I have finally solved the sagging door problem on all third gen cars.I have developed a replacement UPPER hinge repair kit that will permanently repair this problem. The upper hinge is the real problem with sagging doors. Many owners think that this "sagging door problem" can be corrected by replacing the LOWER hinge pin & bushings. But after this has been done, the door can still be moved up and down.
This is a chronic problem that effects,or will effect every third gen car.
For more details go to www.3rdgensolutions.com it might be helpful.

ehh... $62 for one door?? Would it be cheaper to just buy the pieces myself, or is it still relatively the same cost??

$62.40 for one door. 2hours or so to do the job. Or $57.19 for GM part# 12392848(upper hinge assy.),remove the door completely from the car.Lay it on a bench of some kind, cut the old hinge off.Drill new holes, and install the new hinge assy.
I have already changed two UPPER hinges.I won't do it again. Each one took me a whole weekend. And the doors still did not fit right. The original hinges had three bolt holes to attach the hinge to the body. The GM replacement hinges had only two holes. You have to figue out where to drill the third hole(the third hole locates the door precisely on the body so the door will close properly)by yourself. It really is quite a project. Before I did it myself.I went to several body shops, they wanted in the $300.00+ range per door plus parts to do the job.
This is the whole reason I developed a replacement pin & bushing set. It's quick and easy.Without all the hassle of puuling the door of,cutting, drilling, etc.
I have an "installed"photo on my website.

come on guys, i just looked at this website, the pass side door on my 86 camaro is perfect!, the driverside is a pain in the butt, it sags scrapes my ground effects and the fender took the paint right off, takes 2-3 times to close the door and it's just annoying, 62.40 for the kit isnt bad, consider buying the gm hinges, then the labor to remove the old hinge and drill and install this, seems much easier, and i plan on purchasing one for my driver side door. looks good andy!
