Windshield Wipers

Did a quick search and didn't find anything but I did find a video on youtube demonstrating the same exact problem that I am having. So I went to pull my car out for a quick run to the store and when I went to put my wipers on they seemed to be stuck so I figured it must be a little icey still but upon inspection I could see that the wipers were going up a bit (2 - 3 inches) then return back down. I took the cover off to take a look and what I saw was something very similar to the video. It is not mine but the problem is exactly the same. My guess is that the rubber piece between the two hinges has gone bad but I wanted a second opinion before I started pulling anything. I have an 89 IROC if that helps at all.

It would be great to get this problem fixed ASAP due to weather conditions.

Heres a second video

Re: Windshield Wipers

Well I have never had a problem like this but sure looks like something is stripped out or wore out. Sorry I can not be any more help. Do let us know what you find out for future reference.
