T-Top Weather Stripping - Are these the right ones?

I am missing the weather stipping that goes directly onto the side of the t top itself and was wondering whether this would be the right one for that.
Here is a link to summit racing for the product.

This is the piece, just for clarification

They are called t-top drip edge weatherstrip

Look here:
http://www.1aauto.com/1A/Weatherstri...48/367212/1986

Other vendors sell a hard plastic replacement also.

Are you talking about the piece at the very edge of the t top or the rubber seal that the window contacts when the door is closed? Your link to Summit racing shows the seal that goes on the t top. That seal is specific to the manufacturer of the body seals, as it seems every manufacturer makes them just a bit different. You should use whatever manufacturer made your body seals in order for it to be leak free.

Re: T-Top Weather Stripping - Are these the right ones?

The plastic piece is actually missing on my car, not the weather stripping the window contacts. Because the plastic piece is not there, the water leaks in past the seals in heavy rain, it probably pools in the corner instead of dripping off or something. I just got the car, so I dont know exactly what it does but that is my best guess. Thanks for the replies.

OK - check out 1A auto. I bought mine there and was happy with them. They are called t top drip edges. Get the plastic ones. The rubber are nice but did not fit properly.

Re: T-Top Weather Stripping - Are these the right ones?

I was actually mistaken. This is whats missing. Ill post the passenger side which has the piece first, then the drivers side which is missing it.

The hardish rubber piece directly under the plastic piece I was talking about earlier is whats missing on the drivers. The corners are clearly exposed, probably why it leaks in heavy rainfall. Is the A1 Auto Part correct for this piece?
Thanks

Re: T-Top Weather Stripping - Are these the right ones?

I had a similar problem with the 92 Formula I just purchased. The drip edge had gotten caught in the window so many times that it actually bent downward on the leading and rear edges at the corners of the window. The previous owner did nothing to fix it, and the plastic warped into that shape. So then every time you closed the door, the glass sat on TOP of the drip edge permanently in those areas. I may replace them later, but for now I just took the t tops out, brought them in the house where it was warm, then took a candle lighter and heated the plastic to make it maleable, then tried to shape it back into its OE position. This worked sort of, but I also had to take a utility knife and trim a little--maybe 1/8"-- off the outer edges to keep the glass from catching on it after I reshaped it, because no matter how hard I tried I could not get an absolute reshaping of it. But its working for now, will keep the water out til I can replace them later.

Re: T-Top Weather Stripping - Are these the right ones?

I am looking for the same thing. I need the drip edge and the weather striping that the window contacts. The drip edges at 1Aauto are rubber. is the a place to get the plastic ones like my original?
