hello- i see fiberglass hoods that came stock from 82-84 i believe. how much do these weigh? to anybody that has one do you like it or would it be better to have a lift off. i'm going for weight savings.thanks craig

Axle/Gears: BW 3.27 (stock)
i picked one up in really rough shape at a junkyard for $25. I'm gonna cut out a lot of the extra support and pin it on my drag car. As is, it can't weigh more than like 40 - 50lbs. When i'm done, I'd say it'll weigh 30 or less with a lot of the support cut up.

i got a great deal, but it depends on how cheap you can get it.

thanks for the reply. could you tell me the width and length of the louvers that are on your hood? i was thinking of cutting them out and adding a scoop.

i have a crossfire hood on my car...i removed the louvers so the scoops feed the open element

it weighs maybe 25lbs
