ever try to put t-tops

Haven't tried it and it's not recommended. The roof is the strength and integrity of a non TTop car. By cutting it, there are chances of damaging the vehicles structure. If you want T's, buy a car that already has them. The roof line was reinforced at the factory.

so are you saying that the reenforcment of the TTop roof can not be duplicated in a roof that does not have TTop. The reason I'm pursuing this subject,is because I got this car for 100 bucks and i dont want to get rid of it,it is going to be my toy for the rest of my life, and I really want TTOPs(I'm sure U understand).
Thanks, Krush

we got some out of a junkyard for my freinds 92, we went all over the place and noone would do it! riggs bro's said they used to but like stated the 3rd gen bodys are really weak and t-top cars had special reinforcements. the only way you can do it (i've seen a few) if you plan to make it a powerhouse forget about it, but if your going to keep it mild you cut the entire roof off and weld it on. its a bit of a butcher job but can be done right. i also agree i'd just sell it and get an actual t-top car. you are going to be spending a fortune and ALOT of time to pull it off.
