Well are what kind of car did these newer ones come from? Are they analog or digital? If your car has analog gauges, ones with needles, and the new gauge cluster has analog gauges they will work with no adjustments needed. If they are the ones with a speedo and a gas gauge and 3 lights, and your car has the same type then you wont have any problems.
NOW heres where it gets fun.If you have a car with the two gauges and 3 lights, and put a analog cluster in it you will have to change your water tempature switch"its located next to the water neck" to a water temp sending unit. Then you have to change the oil pressure switch to a sending unit.
You can reverse the proces to do a analog cluster to a digital cluster.

make sure you are using a v-8 tach for a v8 and a v6 tach for a v6 or you will get wrong readings....the tachs are very easy to switch over also

Yeah they both should be gear driven I believe. The hell I experienced with mine is I have an 89 electric gauge cluster with an 89 Camaro Trans, which is gear driven.

>hack at it
