fuel gauge messed up. Please Help!

Can someone please help me, cuz it's been close for me staying stranded without gas! My fuel gauge is not working properly. When i fill my car up, it seems to work. The needle will go all the way past the "Full" mark. It seems to go down normally after some miles. All of a sudden it will stop and stay in one place. It always stays in the same place, it doesn't go haywire on me or anything. Also, my oil pressure gauge, now that one is kinda starting to go haywire. I'll be on a stop and it will be going back and forth. Please Help! Thanx guys!

my fuelgages work right...hmm

Souns like the gage might be rubbing on the backplate. I had a temp gage that did that. It would only work from 160° up I took apart the gage and filed a little plastic off, works fine now.
