how do i restore the door trim panel so it does not lift or have any play.
when my window is down ther is not so much pressure on the door panels so the trim panel moves a bit or lifts at the end furthest from the door hinge. i cant see that it is broken but i cant see where it reattatches either maybe you experienced guys can help

If I remember correctly...that black top trim piece has about 5 little tabs that hold onto the cardboard behind the door panel...more than likely the cardboard is ripped where those tabs are held in...you can either replace the cardboard...or maybe tape it up or something...its been awhile since ive seen the backside of the door panel...but i think thats correct...just take the door panel off...and you'll see what im talking about...shouldnt be too hard to fix...and yeah...i bet your door also rattles alot especially when you close your door with the windows half way down...fix that and it should take care of the window noise.

Yeah ... if you take the door panel off you will be able to see exactly how the black trim is held on. You may be able to come up with a way to hold the black part down so that it looks nice and strait. The problem, I think, is that the plastic becomes warped and you have to force it to become strait again. I don't think the original hardware is strong enough to hold it strait. You could try gluing it.
