window down stops
i took my camaro apart repainted it and am putting it back together. i replaced the doors and used all pieces from the new doors, i found all the adjustments in my repair manual except the down stops. the windows are working fine but the glass goes down so far it binds on the outer door seals and goes too far down into the door.
anyone know how to adjust the down stops for the door glass?

Re: window down stops
Your lower window stop is either broken, missing or out of adjustment. Look here for pics, diagrams and part numbers:

Re: window down stops
Thanks Sonjaab
I went over the diagrams and i am familiar with every part but none of them give me any indication they affect the down stop issue i have. i will build my driver side doors to see if they stop properly or not, if so i can study them if not i will have to figure something out. i am thinking it may have something to do with the motor, i never removed the motor from the scissor bracket so not sure why it would cause trouble but i haven't found any answers yet. the passenger side door glass is perfectly fit to the car but goes down too far.

Re: window down stops
There is no "down" adjustment. The pic posted above is a rivet for the glass.Unless he's refering to the black piece just below it.Which appears to have fallen off.
The regulator has a rubber block along the bottom, towards the back.Eventually the rubber cracks/falls off.Which leads to the issue you have now. When mine fell off years back, i used an old poly endlink bushing inplace.Been fine ever since.
