Ground Effects
I am not sure what ya'all think of ground effects, but I am curious as to how good/bad my '91 Camaro would look with out them. If any has pictures of some camaro's with out ground effects, please post or link! thanks!

terrible. Trust me. They should have just designed the bottom the way gfx make it look. Otherwise it looks goofy, all the edges curve under and the nose getts really f*up looking, it makes itlook like its 5 ft off the ground.

Here's my terribly goofy looking 84

Granted the car itself is a p.o.s. but, I prefer it w/o fx, I wish it didn't look 5ft off the ground though.
I wouldn't suggest taking off the gfx if you have them though unless you feel like filling holes & puting on a new front bumper.

I actually prefer Firebirds without the GFX & the Camaros with the GFX. I like single color cars generally, but there are some multi color cars I have seen I like. Blue over gray for example.

I like mine without the ground FX, it's a stock SC. I don't have a pic, but I have noticed that if you take the FX off of a Z-28, it seems to have a different nose than the stock ones. The under-chin air dam on stock ones may not be on yours, right in front of the tires.
I do know that without the FX, the car is lighter and has better aerodynamics. One wouldn't think so, but Chevy did tests or something....
The reason I like it without is mainly because everyone else has 'em...to find a stock Camaro that isn't beaten up (or V-6) is rare around here...

i think it looks just as good as one with ground effects, it does make you car look higher off the ground though, here are a few pics of my baby:
i know you cant really see the bottom of my car but in the second pic, right under the red strip would be where the GFX start, i love my SC GFX or not, it's just your tast.
as long as it's a Camaro and looks tight, its all the same

I think they look gross without the ground effects, especially on one that originally had ground effects, i agree though that firebirds look good without them, cause the front end is so different

I think that you should leave the gfx on there they look to high without em, unless you lower it. I have never seen a camaro without gfx that was lowered, might look good..

here is a link to my website www.geocities.com/carsnjunk cick on My 86 camaro and you will see my 86 sport coupe that has been lowered with the eibach pro kit I think I took the picture not to long after I lowered it so the springs have settled a little more now.

I think the gfx look good on cameros and firebirds. It makes them look lower and gives them a more aggressive look.
