Why I hate my convertable
I have what I belive is one of the nicest original 91 camaro convertables around. I have put in many hours modifying it and keeping it clean. This included until 2 days ago a custom done cd player that I spent 3 days installing. Now I look at the giant twisted plastic hole that some degenerate created while stealing my cd player. I would not be as pissed off as I am right now had he used his screwdriver on the screws instead of using it to snap and break everything from the shift **** through the climate controls and the kneepad to remove it. Estimated damages: $150 cd player, $500 worth of parts that I have to find in a junkyard because the insurance claim would only cost me more in the long run. Oh and I'm in college and I have no money so my beautiful car will remain ruined until I get some money. Oh yeah my title on the post, They crawled right in through the back window

WOW. That's a shame. You are lucky for two reasons. Forst they didn't cut the top to steal the stereo. Second since your car is a 91 you can get a new console top from GM. 82-89 guys don't have that luxury as it is discontinued. I wonder why no one has bothered to steal my stock Delco stereo? I suggest your next stereo have a removeable faceplate. Then get a stock radio, remove the faceplate from it, glue the ***** on it then velcro it onto the face of the "real" stereo.

Perfect time for an alarm with a proxy sensor.
I'm sorry to hear about that dude. I know the feeling all to well. I bought myself a great alarm system after that happened and it was well worth the money. Nobody touched my car since, and the peace of mind was well worth the cost of the alarm.
Right now that alarm is sitting in a box instead of in my IROC, but I have plans to remidy that situation soon.
Sorry to hear about the bad news, but I would think hard about turning this into an opportunity instead of a tragedy.
