water leaking through two holes on rear hatch panel

Well my question is about my mysterious leak. I have an 86 IROC, Well after I wash my car and I have dried the entire outside of the car. I pop open the trunk to dry around my hatch and wouldnt you know but water basically pours out of the 2 holes on the hatch for the black retractable cover. Any seal or fix for this?? I took off the entire hatch plastic covering and sealed with silicone where the glass meets the metal. What should I do cuz it still does it? My trunk seal (the big one) is perfectly fine no other leaks?? Only the actual hatch glass...

And for my second question, smells like something is burning in or around the engine after driving around, could this be the new Accel wires I recently put on? I have heard alot of complaints, if so would Taylors be better? The wires are in looms and are not touching anything hot! Could it be the boots that connect to the plugs?? Thanks guys for any help!!!
