Anyone use 4thgen t-top holders in a 3rdgen?

Anyone use 4thgen t-top holders in a 3rdgen?
I heard some talk and some rumors regarding this...I was looking for some good honest truth. Do the t-top holders in the rear of a 4thgen bolt into a 3rdgen, with how much modification? I'd rather have the t-tops down there to keep from tearing up my bag, and keep the bag in place so the straps hold them down during hard cornering. The shade cover's up the ugliness (like anyone'll notice them back there anyway) The tops fit kinda snug back there to begin with, just wondering.

4th gen t tops are smaller than our 3rd gens. It may work, but my experience is that the "well" isn't wide enough for the tops to fit down in far enough to close the hatch.
