broken seatbelt question

My pass. side front seat belt will not retract. Can this unit be repaired? If so, can anyone tell me how? Thanks!

Take the system out and clean it up. Sometimes it is just dirt making the gears stick. If it turns out to be broken, I would not try to repair it, seat belts are too important.

The belts can be repaired. You need another unit to swap parts. Probably the sping inside the plastic cap needs to be rewound. Not hard to do at all. Just rewind it and put the cap on. It will work. Use the swap belt as a sample or email me for more details.
