will the carpet from a 4th go into a 3rd?

My *** people. What is the deal with taking everything off of a 4th gen and trying to put it in a third gen? You like 4th gens, buy one.

could be because he can get 4th gen carpet really cheap out of one... hell if it works and i could find a 4th gen with good carpet for cheap i'd do the same thing... think about those things... plus maybe everyone likes the bodies of the 3rd gens vs. the bodies of the 4th gens. the interior of the 4th gen in my opinion is better. The seats look better and the console does too. Besides if you don't like it then why reply to the topic? If you don't like the 4th gen interiors then don't do it but there are people here that do wanna do it so let them do it.

Well said maroman. I dont know if the rug would fit...I dont think it would...but I am not totally sure. The inside is shaped a little differently...but you never know. The console and seats are positioned in the same spots and the third gens. You never know. I like everything in the 4th gen interior better...besides the dash. The new dashes just arent sporty enough. I love the looks of my '83's dash...it looks so sporty..then when you look inside at the dash of a 4th gen it is just like any other import or family car out there. Actually my cousins Nissan has a sportyer set up in her dash. And get this it came with white faced gagues stock.

Nah. won't fit. Personally I like the bodies of the thirdgen too, but modernizing a thirdgen with parts that bolt right in out of a 4thgen is a cool idea. In the course of the next few months, my rearend, rear springs, transmission, seats, SS wheels, dash and console will be 4thgen and alot of it is concealed. I plan on ABS too since I already have most of it figured out. Buy a 4thgen? Maybe. Own a modernized 3rdgen? Rare if not the only Camaro in existence configured that way.
Maybe I like the 4thgen interior and want to see it in a 3rdgen...maybe the rear fits better and will work for me...maybe the tranny wasn't offered in a 3rdgen but it bolts in and is alot stronger. Alot of people ask why put 4thgen parts in a 3rdgen and the answer simply is this: because it's my car, I own it, I can and I want to, that's why. No flame
