Headlight Motor dying?

I was outside washing the car tonight and I needed a little light. Well I turned on the parking lights only. When I turned them off, I heard the left headlight motor running. I am sure the right one wasn't running. Is it dying? Are the gears too old? TIA.

It sounds to me like your gears are starting to go.

Sounds like something is going out. The motors shouldn't respond at all to just parking or fog lights. Mine used to do the same thing till I fixed them.

So how much of a problem is this? The motors are ok still? What do I have to replace? How much is the fix?
