Ive seen so many Firebirds from 86 to 90s with the silver lower body ..was this an option?and on Red cars we can find orange and red striping and for blue cars black and light blue striping..was this an option?which cars came with that?

base Firebirds, Formluas and T/A's it was standard for some years, optional for others. (GTA's never got 2 tone to my knowledge) You could order the car with stripe delete though. The color & style of the vynal stripe seems to have changed from year to year.

I eliminated my Dark Gray lower stripe, cause I did not like the way it looked.

P.S. That is a nice looking 90 Formula 350

Well, you can see mine in my sig. I love the silver, and think it goes perfect with the car. I wouldnt ever think of changing it!

I guess I should explain before I get hate mail.

I personally did not like the 2 tone on my formula, If it had ground fx, then I would have left it alone. It did not do anything for my car.

I personally like the Blue/Gray combo.

Hehe, sorry if my post made it seem like I was talking about you John. I personally love how your car looks, and I too think that the two tone would have taken away from the clean lines of your car.

Here's another 2-tone that I've only seen on a very few firebirds. Please disregard the tacky accessories.

Aside from my car, I've only seen a few other cars with this style 2-tone. I saw an 86 with the same gray as mine originally had(Mine was originally lighter) along with the same style stripe, which is why I believe that the style was in fact a stock option.

I think that style was an option for a year or so. Not sure but I too have seen it on a couple of F-bodies. I will have to look through my archives.
