Best way to sound deaden the hatch panels?

Whats the best way to get the plastic panels in the hatch to stop vibrating? Should I like all their edges with rubber or a strip of the deadener I just bought (B-quiet - alot like Dynamat)? I'm going to deaden the metal of the whole trunk area but I don't know if thats gonna get rid of my problem.

Another question... whats the best way to get the locks to stop rattling?

you can get some felt for the locks and glue it on the sides of the slide, not too much though. The deadner will make a big improvement and I put a small bead of clear rtv, very small, where the panels meet each other and the hatch edge. One note on the dynamat if you dont have it yet,I bought it with the same idea and after getting it and feeling what it weighed I sold it.This stuff is heavy.I did use some small pieces in the seams of the hatch area.hope this helps

if you take the pieces out and spray the back of it with ruberized undercoating it helps a lot. I did that when I had my interior out and it worked wonderfully. Also, make sure all your fasteners are in good shape, with all of them holding well you shouldn't have many vibrations
